Black Prophet Vows to Bring a Grammy Home to Ghana

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician Kenneth Wilberforce Zonto, popularly known as Black Prophet, has expressed confidence that he will win a Grammy Award for Ghana.

The artist, who has been outside the country for a while, made this statement on his Facebook page.

He declared, “I will place African Roots Rock Reggae on the global music map and bring a Grammy home to Ghana.”

Black Prophet, known for the hit song Let Me Do My Thing, has been working on new tracks for his forthcoming album.

The album, titled Stories of Life, was produced by award-winning reggae legend and saxophonist Dean Fraser.

In his post, he revealed that the highly anticipated project would be released on September 16, 2016, under VPAL Music in Jamaica.

He added that he collaborated with top musicians at Tuff Gong and Penthouse Studios, including Tarrus Riley and Duane Stephenson, to create what he described as a masterpiece.

“Over the next few weeks, I will take you through the journey of how Jah has blessed me to this stage of my life… with some surprises along the way,” he noted.

Black Prophet also urged fans to continue supporting him, reiterating his belief that he will elevate African Roots Rock Reggae and bring a Grammy award to Ghana. “May Jah bless you all,” he said.
