Rare footage of media personality Serwaa Amihere studying from a hospital bed has recently surfaced online, offering a glimpse into her dedication to becoming a lawyer.
In a video shared on social media, Serwaa is seen in her quiet moments as a law student, immersed in textbooks and burning the midnight oil despite dealing with ill health. She is also comforted by close friends at her bedside during this challenging time.
Serwaa’s path to the courtroom started years ago. Before pursuing law, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance from Methodist University College in 2013. She later attended the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with second-class upper honours in 2022. In 2023, she gained admission to the Ghana School of Law.
Throughout her studies, Serwaa balanced her professional duties as a news anchor and host at GHOne TV while secretly pursuing her legal education.
Serwaa Amihere, now one of Ghana’s newest solicitors, was officially called to the bar on October 10, 2025.
At the ceremony, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre, members of the General Legal Council, the judiciary, prominent solicitors, legal scholars, and friends from the media and entertainment industries, including Fella Makafui, gathered to celebrate her achievement.
