Meek Mill Seeks to Sign Ghanaian Artist to Dream Chasers Label

American rapper and entrepreneur Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, has revealed that he is looking to sign a Ghanaian artist to his record label, Dream Chasers.
On Friday, December 30, 2022, Meek Mill tweeted, expressing his desire: “I need [an] artist[e] from Ghana on Dream Chasers!!! [sparkling star emojis].”
In response, British-Ghanaian DJ and ‘We Move’ hitmaker DJ Paak suggested Ground Up Chale rapper Lalid. Multiple award-winning actor Prince David Osei mentioned Black Sherif, while 2MG music company recommended their artist Lyrical Joe, sharing videos of his performances.
Dream Chasers, which is a joint venture with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, is also named after Mill’s popular mixtape series “Dreamchasers.”
Meek Mill is currently in Ghana as one of the headliners for the 2022 Afro Nation music and arts festival. Ahead of his performance, he was seen riding a quad bike alongside the Ghana DC bike stars.
The 35-year-old rapper also took to Instagram to share that he had been pickpocketed and lost his phone, writing: “They pickpocketed me for my phone. SMH [shaking my head]. Bring that jawn back if you got it!!!”
(Note: “Jawn” is a slang term from Philadelphia used to refer to something, a place, or a person when specifics aren’t necessary.)
