Multiple award-winning rapper and singer Black Sherif has shared that his growing streaming numbers have given him the freedom to explore his creativity and surprise his fans with each new release.
In an interview with Capital 1Xtra in London, Sherif discussed his achievement of being the most-streamed artist in Ghana for two consecutive years, and his recent milestone of reaching 1 billion streams on Boomplay.
“These achievements motivate me to create more,” Sherif said, emphasizing that knowing his music is reaching so many people globally grants him significant creative freedom.
He further explained, “There’s no one holding me back from making the music I want. I love the freedom that comes with art and enjoy experimenting in the studio to see what works.”
Before releasing a song, Sherif mentioned, “I need to love it first.”
