Five Killed, 15 Injured in Fatal Accident on Techiman-Tuobodom Highway

A fatal accident on the Techiman-Tuobodom highway in the Bono East Region early Wednesday morning has resulted in the deaths of five people.
The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) confirmed the incident, stating that 15 passengers were injured, with some in critical condition and currently receiving treatment at the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.
The accident occurred when a truck collided head-on with a bus traveling in the opposite direction.
Emmanuel Achemapong-Parry, the NRSA’s Regional Head for Bono East, confirmed the details and stated that the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
Chief Superintendent Oppong Asirifi, the Regional Police Commander for the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), also verified the incident, adding that police are still in the process of gathering more information.
