Female dancehall artiste Queen Haizel, who recently made headlines after false reports of her death and her unusual return “with a bus from Barbados,” has sparked new controversy.
After releasing her new single Bus from Barbados and beginning a media tour, she revealed during an interview on TV Africa that she once felt like giving up on music. According to her, radio host Nana Romeo discouraged her after allegedly trying to sleep with her before offering support.
Queen Haizel recounted that a friend introduced her to the presenter, and although they had sexual video calls in the past, things ended when she didn’t give in.
She later contacted him again when her song started gaining attention, but during a meeting at her home, he made advances which she rejected. She claims Nana Romeo then told her she would “never blow,” leaving her in tears.
