Three-Year-Old Triplets Perish in Techiman House Fire

A tragic fire broke out on the night of Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in a building in Techiman, Brong Ahafo Region, claiming the lives of a set of three-year-old triplets.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., according to an eyewitness who spoke to Accra News on Thursday, January 28. Locals were drawn to the scene by the cries of women calling for help as the building burned.
The eyewitness explained that initial attempts to open the locked room failed, but rescuers eventually forced the door open, extinguished the flames with water, and discovered the children unresponsive. It appeared they had succumbed to smoke inhalation.
Residents believe the fire may have been caused by faulty wiring.
