Westminster Attack: Police Arrest Seven as Death Toll Rises

British police arrested seven people in overnight raids in London, Birmingham, and other areas as part of the investigation into Wednesday’s attack near the Houses of Parliament. The attacker drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge and then stabbed a police officer before being shot dead.
The death toll rose to five on Thursday after a 75-year-old victim was taken off life support. An American tourist, Kurt Cochran from Utah, was also confirmed dead. He and his wife were in London celebrating their 25th anniversary when the car hit them. His wife remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said a woman in her 40s, a man in his 50s, officer Keith Palmer, and the attacker were among the victims. A total of 29 people were injured, with seven in critical condition.
The attacker was identified as 52-year-old Khalid Masood. Witnesses told British media that he had lived at a Birmingham address that was raided, though authorities did not confirm details.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack but provided no proof or details linking them to Masood.
