Mona Gucci Faces Court on Alleged Visa Fraud Charges

Ghanaian socialite and entertainment personality, Monalisa Abigail Semeha, known as Mona Gucci, has been arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court on allegations of visa fraud.
According to a report from Graphic Showbiz, the case stems from a complaint filed by Comfort Obiri, who was introduced to Mona Gucci in 2019 as someone who could help her secure a U.S. visa for a fee of GH¢40,000.
Mona Gucci is accused of collecting a total of GH¢103,400 from Obiri and three other individuals under the pretense of securing visas, but allegedly failing to deliver on her promise, resulting in the fraud charges.
The travel consultant pleaded not guilty to the charges of defrauding by false pretence.
The court, presided over by Isaac Addo, granted Mona Gucci bail in the amount of GH¢200,000 with one surety. She is set to return to court on December 11, 2023.
