Over 500 Pupils Trained as Junior Graphic Essay Workshops Hit Techiman and Kumasi

The 2025 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition (JGNEC) workshops, designed to enhance the reading and writing abilities of students nationwide, have been held in the Ashanti and Bono East regions.

The sessions, organised in Techimanand Kumasi, provided more than 500 pupils with practical lessons on frequent spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors that affect their essay writing.

Sponsored by FirstBank Ghana, Papaye Foods and Peeva Beverages, the workshops also aimed to equip learners with the skills needed to craft strong essays for participation in the JGNEC.

Participants received guidance on writing effective essays, debates, reports and speeches.

Addressing the seminar, Benjamin Korsinah Tsatsu, the Ashanti, Bono, Ahafo and Northern Zonal Business Manager of the Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL), urged students to take part in the competition and work toward winning the top award.

He advised them to apply the lessons learned to build their vocabulary and strengthen their proficiency in the English language.

“Consider this as a springboard to greater accomplishments. If you take these lessons seriously, they will form a solid base for your future success. The Junior Graphic will continue to roll out educational initiatives to support your growth,” he said.
