Vincent Kwaku Osei, popularly known as Strongman and winner of the first “Next Big Thing in GH Rap” competition, has clarified that he and Medikal from AMG Business are no longer beefing, despite what many people still think.
The two rappers clashed in June 2019 after Medikal won the Best Rapper award at the 2019 VGMA, which sparked a series of diss tracks between them.
Speaking on the Late Night Celebrity Show with Foster Romanus on e.TV Ghana, Strongman stated, “Medikal and I are cool now; we’re no longer beefing.”
They even released a joint track titled “Bossu,” though the music video led some fans to believe the rivalry was still on.
Explaining further, Strongman said that rap naturally comes with ego because every rapper sees themselves as the best. He added that people still assume there’s tension because the song came out soon after their beef, and in Ghana, people are quick to draw conclusions.
When asked if Medikal made it into his top five favourite rappers in Ghana, Strongman said yes and listed them as:

- Sarkodie
- Medikal
- Teephlow
- Lyrical Joe or Amerado
