Tigo Denies Reports of Sarkodie Rejecting $250k Ambassadorial Deal

Telecommunications company Tigo Ghana has dismissed circulating reports claiming that award-winning artist Sarkodie turned down a $250,000 ambassadorial offer from the brand.
According to insiders at Tigo, no such deal was ever proposed. The telecom operator, known for Tigo Music and Deezer, explained that its current priority is supporting the growth of Ghana’s music industry – not signing ambassadors.
Through its Tigo-Premiere initiative, the company has already supported six Ghanaian musicians and provided opportunities for many others. However, management clarified that ambassadorial partnerships are not part of their current plans.
Meanwhile, Sarkodie is in the United States preparing for his “History in the Making” concert at the Apollo Theater. The event will also feature EL, Obrafuor, Efya, Bisa Kdei, Banky W, Ice Prince, and several other artists.
