The Beyonce collabo was a divine blessing to sanitise my tainted name – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has expressed that some comments from entertainment pundits have a significant negative impact on the progress of artists. The 38-year-old musician and record producer believes that public criticism, especially from media personalities, hurts not only his brand but the entire Ghanaian music industry.
In response to a remark made by Koskolee, a pundit on CTV’s Class Showbiz, Shatta Wale shared how big companies have turned down opportunities to sign him due to negative press. He mentioned that some organizations were interested in working with him, but they backed out after hearing harmful comments from media figures.
Shatta Wale emphasized that while these pundits may think they’re attacking him personally, they are actually damaging the brands of all Ghanaian musicians. He pointed out that when he earns, he shares his wealth with others, so the collective harm caused by such negativity is widespread.
The artist also addressed an internet user’s criticism of his Shaxi taxi service, expressing frustration at the premature judgment. He called for more positivity and constructive feedback, urging critics to remain silent if they don’t have anything productive to say.
Reflecting on his international success, Shatta Wale credited Beyoncé’s collaboration with him as a divine intervention. He believes that her decision to feature him on her 2019 “Already” track from The Lion King: The Gift album was guided by a higher power, as Beyoncé’s team saw potential in him despite the negative opinions circulating about his image.
Shatta Wale acknowledged that while he has grown and learned to be patient, he still reacts strongly when provoked. He likened his experience of being away from the spotlight for years as proof of his patience, saying that after multiple warnings, he will stand up for himself.
Despite his past confrontations, Shatta Wale reflected that he now understands the distractions caused by naysayers and how they prevented him from reaching his full potential. Over the past two months, he has avoided engaging in industry gossip and instead focused on his career. He pointed out that he’s achieved success despite the negativity, and his goal is to continue growing, investing in his future, and showcasing his progress.
Ultimately, Shatta Wale’s focus is on his personal growth and the lessons he’s learned, even though it has been painful to see how public criticism has affected his opportunities with companies.
