Super O.D Reveals He Fathered 14 Children With Six Women

Veteran actor and comedian Asonaba Kweku Darko, popularly known as Super O.D, has revealed that he is the father of fourteen children with six different women.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, he explained that during his early years in acting, their earnings were extremely low. The Osofo Dadzie cast members received only ¢100,000 old cedis – equivalent to GH¢10 today – as their weekly salary, and he would give GH¢5 of that amount to his wives to support their households.
“I have fourteen children with six women. It was very tough when we started performing Osofo Dadzie. We were barely paid – just ¢100,000 old cedis weekly,” he said.
Reflecting on the evolution of the film and theatre industry from then to now, Super O.D noted that things improved slightly during the era of General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong. At that time, the Osofo Dadzie team was offered mortgage support for houses at Dansoman Exhibition, and their weekly wages were raised to GH¢27.50.
“Under General Acheampong’s government, we received mortgage opportunities and our weekly pay increased to GH¢27.50,” he added.
