Fire at Techiman Central Market Causes Extensive Damage

A fire at the Techiman Central Market in the Bono East Region has caused significant damage, destroying goods worth thousands of cedis.
The blaze reportedly began around 12:30 pm on Monday, April 12, 2021, though the exact cause of the fire, which impacted several shops including a Latex Foam depot, remains unknown.
Bono East Fire Commander, ACFO George Anim Frimpong, confirmed that fire personnel responded swiftly to the emergency. He stated that approximately 80 firefighters worked together to bring the fire under control within an hour and 25 minutes.
ACFO Frimpong also mentioned that around 10 shops were affected by the fire, and an investigation is underway to determine its cause.
