On August 1, 2025, the Techiman North District Assembly carried out a major clean-up exercise in Tuobodom, the district capital, reflecting the shared values of H.E. John Dramani Mahama. The initiative was designed to promote environmental cleanliness and encourage community involvement in keeping the district healthy and sustainable.
The exercise, which took place from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., started at the Tuobodom Market, where the main refuse dump was fully cleared to enhance sanitation and public health. The clean-up later expanded to surrounding communities within the district capital, with plans to replicate similar activities in other parts of the Techiman North District.
Residents turned out in large numbers, actively participating and showing strong commitment to creating a cleaner, healthier environment.
The Techiman North District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening community participation in local development and aims to continue implementing such impactful initiatives.
