Techiman North DCE Visits Krobo SDA School, Encourages Pupils and Teachers

Peter Mensah, the District Chief Executive for Techiman North, visited Krobo SDA School this morning as part of the “My First Day at School” initiative. During his visit, he welcomed first-time pupils and encouraged them to work hard to fulfill their parents’ dreams of providing them with an education.
Mr. Mensah also addressed the teaching staff, urging them to continue their dedicated service to both God and country. He emphasized that the government has much to offer teachers and encouraged them to be positive role models for the students. According to him, the only way to ensure the development of responsible future leaders is through the example set by teachers.

He reminded educators that their role as role models extends beyond the classroom and into their homes and communities, as they live among the pupils they teach.
In addition, Mr. Mensah highlighted an initiative by Mr. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, Deputy Minister for Regional Re-integration and Development, to honor hardworking teachers in both Techiman North and South Districts. He encouraged teachers to strive for excellence, as they could be recognized in the upcoming awards.
To mark the occasion, Mr. Mensah distributed educational items such as drawing kits, erasers, pencils, exercise books, biscuits, and school bags to the pupils.
The District Director of Education, Mr. Akangare Abiiro Abiakan, also took the opportunity to welcome the students, particularly the first-time pupils, and urged them to study hard so they could grow into responsible adults in the future.
