Techiman City FC’s Owner Eyes Victory Over Kotoko in Upcoming clash

Charles Kwadwo Ntim, the owner of Techiman City, is confident his team can cause an upset against Asante Kotoko in their upcoming Matchday 16 clash of the Ghana Premier League. The league resumes after a three-week break, with fixtures being reversed from the first round.

In the first round, Techiman City lost 4-2 to Kotoko, but Ntim believes his team can turn the tables in this match. While acknowledging the stature of Kotoko, he emphasized that Techiman City is a smaller club but has grown stronger over time. Ntim is hopeful that his side can surprise Kotoko and secure a win.

“Everyone knows Kotoko’s reputation, and we respect them greatly. However, we are a smaller club compared to them,” he told Asempa Sports. “We lost to them 4-2 in the first round, but that was due to inexperience. Kotoko hasn’t been at their best in recent years, and I truly believe we can shock them and come out with a victory this time.”

Ntim also reassured fans that the game will have a strong security presence. “I want to assure the public that security will be very tight. We won’t compromise on safety, and we’ll be involving both the police and the military, just like we did against Hearts of Oak in Techiman,” he said. “I urge supporters to behave responsibly. Any acts of hooliganism will not be tolerated, and I will make sure those caught are not forgiven, as we have an ongoing case with the Disciplinary Committee.”

Techiman City, currently on a three-game winless streak, will be hoping to break that run with a positive result against Kotoko.
