Techiman North DCE Leads Stakeholder Meeting to Promote Peace Ahead of 2020 Elections

On June 22, 2020, the District Chief Executive (DCE) led a stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Techiman North District Assembly, bringing together representatives from various political parties, traditional leaders, religious groups, and members of the District Security Council (DISEC).

The goal of the meeting was to develop strategies for ensuring a peaceful environment during the Electoral Commission’s new registration process and the 2020 general elections in the Techiman North Constituency.

The discussions were productive, with all parties, including the NDC, NPP, CPP, PNC, NDP, and PPP, expressing their commitment to maintaining peace before, during, and after the elections. The DCE emphasized that the Assembly, in collaboration with the District Security Council, would not tolerate any disruptive behavior aimed at causing unrest in the district.

Mr. Peter Mensah (DCE) urged everyone to act as peace ambassadors during this crucial national exercise.
