Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has addressed rumors that he paid a large sum of money to a road contractor to extend a road project leading to his office before traveling abroad a few weeks ago.
The rumors began after videos surfaced on social media showing Shatta Wale and his team visiting a road construction site. Many speculated that Shatta Wale was upset with the contractors because he had given them money to extend the road, but the work was not completed while he was away. Some even claimed that the contractors resumed the project only after realizing he had returned to Ghana.
In response to these claims, Shatta Wale clarified during an interview with Andy Dosty, as monitored by GhanaWeb, that he did not pay anyone to extend the road to the SM secretariat.
When Andy Dosty asked Shatta Wale if he funded the project, he simply responded, “No.”
