President Biden Pledges Full Federal Support After Devastating Tornado Strikes

US President Joe Biden has pledged full federal support to states struck by a massive and deadly swarm of tornadoes, which he called likely “one of the largest” storm outbreaks in US history. The twisters, which are unusual for cooler months, caused catastrophic damage across multiple states.
President Biden approved an emergency disaster declaration for Kentucky, the hardest-hit state, where Governor Andy Beshear confirmed at least 22 fatalities and estimated the total loss of life would “very likely” exceed 100 people. Beshear described the damage as the most destructive in the state’s history.
President Biden, visibly shaken by the tragedy, promised, “whatever is needed – the federal government is going to find a way to provide it,” emphasizing that the full extent of the damage and loss of life remains unknown.
