We’ve grown accustomed to seeing men with short hair and expecting women to keep theirs long, but actress Ahoufe Patri has chosen to go completely bald.
During an interview with Dzifa Gray on Metro TV, she revealed that some Ghanaians are uncomfortable with her decision not to wear either long or short hair.
“People have issues with my hair. Many still think that as a woman you must keep long hair, and that it makes you look more beautiful and attractive,” she said.
She added, “But I prefer mine this way. It sets me apart and gives me a unique look, so people should just accept it. I think I’ll keep my hair like this—bald—for a while.”
Ahoufe Patri also praised media personality Deloris Frimpong-Manso, popularly known as Delay, saying:
“Delay is hardworking, determined, and a true go-getter. When she sets her mind on something, she does whatever it takes to achieve it. She’s a very strong woman.”
Patricia, popularly known as Ahoufe Patri, first became widely recognized after starring in the hit comedy series Boys Kasa.
