On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Hon. Addo-Donkor Everson, the District Chief Executive for Techiman North, held a meeting with 51 caterers involved in the Ghana School Feeding Program in the district.
The meeting was organized to discuss the challenges faced by the caterers and to find solutions to address them. One of the key issues raised by the caterers was the delay in payments. Hon. Everson acknowledged the difficulties the government is facing but urged the caterers not to let this affect the quality of meals they prepare for the students.
He also encouraged the caterers to promptly report any specific issues they face at individual schools so that management could take immediate action to resolve them.
The District Chief Executive reassured the caterers that the government is actively working to clear all outstanding payments. He also informed them about an upcoming monitoring exercise by the Ghana School Feeding Program’s management and emphasized the importance of all caterers being present for the inspection.
