Mr. Beautiful Affirms Loyalty to NDC and Commitment to Acting

Ghanaian actor Clement Bonnie, popularly known as Mr. Beautiful, has clarified that he has not left the movie industry and will always remain a loyal member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking in an interview with O.J on Space FM, Mr. Beautiful explained that he is both an actor and an NDC supporter, but not a politician.
“Mr. Beautiful will always be an actor, and Mr. Beautiful will always be an NDC member. I’m not a politician; I’m a Ghanaian. Anyone with vision can recognize another visionary. I’ve always wished to see Ghana develop like the European countries I admire. So if someone presents a vision for a better Ghana, I will support him—and that person is President Mahama,” he stated.
Mr. Beautiful has long been a committed supporter of the NDC. He played an active role in the party’s campaign leading up to the 2012 elections.
He is also deeply involved in the 2016 elections, serving as the Project Coordinator for Celebrities For Mahama, a group dedicated to mobilizing entertainers and public figures to support President Mahama’s re-election bid.
However, his political involvement—particularly his open support for the NDC—has significantly affected his movie career, leading to a decline in roles, especially in local Twi-language films.
