Fire Destroys Studio of Techiman’s Winners FM

The studio of Winners FM, a popular radio station based in Techiman, was tragically destroyed by fire on Thursday. While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, some station employees suspect that a faulty electrical connection, possibly originating from the air-conditioning unit in the studio, may have been responsible for the blaze.

The station’s staff were understandably shaken by the incident, but one of them shared with rawgist.com, “Everything in the studio is burnt to ashes, but we thank God the transmitter was not affected.” The transmitter is a vital piece of equipment for any radio station, and the fact that it was spared from the fire was a small blessing in an otherwise devastating situation.
Eyewitnesses reported that the fire spread quickly, and it took a considerable amount of time and effort from local fire officers to fully bring the flames under control. The fire department was praised for their quick response, but the damage to the station’s studio was already extensive. The fire consumed nearly everything inside the studio, including broadcasting equipment, furniture, and other materials, leaving the space completely gutted.
The incident has caused widespread sadness among the residents of Techiman. Local listeners and supporters have shared their hopes for a swift recovery, with many saying that they look forward to seeing the station back on air as soon as possible. “Winners FM has been a major part of our community,” one local resident commented, “We miss hearing our favorite programs, and we’re praying that the station comes back stronger.”
The station’s management has not yet issued a formal statement about the cause of the fire or their plans for rebuilding, but it is expected that they will be working with the authorities and insurance companies to assess the damage and begin the process of recovery.
