Meek Mill loses phone after pickpocket incident

After previously praising Ghana for being “lit” during his Christmas visit, American rapper Meek Mill had a change of tone when he shared a pickpocket incident on Instagram.
The rapper, who performed at the Afro Nation concert in Accra on December 29, revealed that his phone had been stolen, posting: “They pickpocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH… Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!!”
It’s unclear whether the theft occurred at the concert, but it didn’t seem to impact his performance that night. Meek and his crew continued to enjoy the festivities, partying at a popular club in Accra until the early hours of the morning.
Despite the unfortunate incident, Meek’s time in Ghana remained memorable. His social media posts documenting his experience went viral, with fans expressing their excitement about his visit.
In a video on Instagram, Meek encouraged his friends abroad to visit Ghana and Africa, stating that many foreigners have been misled by negative portrayals of the continent. He shared: “Young kings came to club at 3am left and 7am on 12 o’clock! #ghanalit they been keeping us from Africa huh lol my come thru be wayyyyyyyyyyyy different.”
