Late Equalizer Sees Techiman City Rescue Point Against Inter Allies

Techiman City played out a 1-1 draw with Tema-based Inter Allies FC at the Tema Stadium yesterday.
Ebenezer Agyapong opened the scoring for Inter Allies in the 24th minute with a header, but Evans Mensah’s corner, which brushed the post before deflecting off a defender, leveled the score for the home side.
Inter Allies, who had lost their previous two away matches against Wa All Stars and Medeama, began the game strongly, attacking from multiple angles. However, the visitors’ goalkeeper Richmond Ayi was solid, keeping Techiman City from scoring early.
In the sixth minute, Evans Mensah tried a long-range shot, but Ayi tipped it over for a corner, which came to nothing. Isaac Twum also saw a powerful volley saved by the goalkeeper in the 10th minute, while Ropapa Mensah’s long-range effort was comfortably collected.
Inter Allies eventually took the lead when Ebenezer Agyapong converted a cross from the right side with a header.
The second half saw both teams searching for a winning goal, but neither could break the deadlock before the referee blew the final whistle.
