Kwaw Kese Slams MUSIGA for Excluding Musicians from Grand Ball

Rapper Kwaw Kese is furious over what he sees as the exclusion of musicians from the 2017 MUSIGA Presidential Grand Ball, held at the State Banquet Hall on December 29.

Following the event on Friday, the artist took to Twitter to criticize the Musicians Union of Ghana, accusing the Obour-led administration of failing to invite Ghanaian musicians, including himself, to a program supposedly meant for them. He labeled the organization a disgrace.

Kwaw Kese also expressed disappointment that the President attended an event he claims was organized by “thieves.”

“MUSIGA or whatever they call it is the most corrupt institution in Ghana. How can you host a musicians’ grand ball and not invite musicians? Sad that the president @NAkufoAddo was present among these thieves. #MusigaGrandBall2017,” he tweeted, as reported by Zionfelix.net.

Privately known as Emmanuel Botway, he later questioned whether footballers would ever hold an event and invite market women instead of players.

Performers at the Grand Ball included Daddy Lumba, Nana Kwame Ampadu, A.B. Crentsil, Freddy Meiway, Becca, and several others.
