Kojo Blak shares unique way of naming his EP

Ghanaian Afrobeat artist Kojo Blak has explained the unique way he names his EPs and the reason behind using numbers.

In an interview on Hitz FM, Kojo Blak shared that he names his EPs based on the exact time he finishes recording the last song on each project.

“I like to document the time I finish recording the last song. So, for the 757 EP, there’s a track called 757, which represents the time I completed it—7:57 pm. The same goes for the 131 EP, which I finished at 1:31 am,” he explained, using both his 757 and 131 EPs as examples.

He added that this method helps him stand out from other artists, who often choose meaningful or symbolic names for their EPs.

“I wouldn’t say I’m too different, but I don’t want to follow the traditional path of naming EPs after something significant. I just want to record the time I finished the song,” he said.

The Excellent hitmaker mentioned that while an album might be named differently, he plans to keep this unique naming style for his future EPs.
