Dancehall star Ebony Reigns has dismissed Prophet Kumchacha of Heaven’s Gate Ministries as a “joke” for criticizing her, arguing that even Jesus never condemned anyone during his time on earth.
Prophet Kumchacha had earlier attacked Ebony over her style of dressing and the lyrical content of her songs, even claiming he would “bury” her music just as he did with Patapaa’s ‘One Corner.’
Responding on Facebook, Ebony rebuked the prophet for condemning the very talent she believes God blessed her with. She added that he should instead celebrate her achievements, as she has earned numerous awards and milestones in her short time in the industry.
She wrote: “Look at this joker calling himself a man of God. Even Jesus Christ didn’t condemn, so who are you to bury a talent God gave me? For your information, we just won Artist of the Year at the Bass Awards and ‘Maame Hw3’ hit 1.3 million views in two weeks.”
Ebony recently impressed fans with a strong performance at the Happy Man Bitters Live Concert at Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on December 26.
