Court to Hear Afia Schwarzenegger–Abrokwah Case on September 25

The case between Afia Schwarzenegger (born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa) and her husband, Lawrence Abrokwah, is set to be heard in court on Monday, September 25.

According to Accra FM’s court reporter, Ama Brako Ampofo, Afia appeared in court on Wednesday, September 20, only to be informed that the hearing had been postponed to Monday.

Mr. Abrokwah failed to show up at the Accra Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Court two weeks ago to face charges of assault, threats of harm, and the circulation of obscene material involving his estranged wife.

He was previously rumored to have contacted the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service and to be seeking an out-of-court settlement.

Abrokwah was arrested on August 30, 2017, after Afia filed an official complaint alleging assault. He was cautioned and released the same day while investigations continued.

It still remains uncertain whether he was responsible for leaking the nude video that allegedly captured Afia in a compromising situation with another man.
