Hubtel Expands Services to Techiman, Sunyani, and Tarkwa

Hubtel, Ghana’s leading payment services provider, has begun offering its services in Techiman (Bono East Region), Sunyani (Bono Region), and Tarkwa (Western Region).

This move underscores the company’s mission to link businesses with their communities and make it easier for consumers to locate and pay for essential goods and services.

According to Elsie Bram, Head of Consumer Demand & Growth at Hubtel, “Ghana’s digital future should include every town and every business, not only those in major cities. With this rollout, we’re affirming to these communities that their customers and enterprises matter, and that they now have access to a wider digital marketplace.”

Each of the newly added cities has a population exceeding 100,000 and serves as an important commercial hub outside the country’s largest metropolitan areas, positioning them as strategic locations for digital payments and quick-commerce services.

The expansion will give thousands of local businesses access to digital payment tools, delivery support, and solutions to boost revenue and improve customer service. Residents will also benefit from the Hubtel app, which enables easy purchases from nearby vendors with fast local deliveries.

With these additions, Hubtel now operates in 11 cities nationwide, alongside Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Cape Coast, Koforidua, and Ho.

“Our mission has always been to make daily transactions easy, safe, and available to everyone,” Elsie added. “As we expand, we unlock more opportunities for businesses and consumers across Ghana.”

Hubtel is a Ghanaian tech company licensed by the Bank of Ghana as an Enhanced Payment Service Provider. It helps businesses of all sizes accept payments—from mobile money and cards to QR—manage transactions, and engage customers through messaging and commerce tools.

Individuals can also use the Hubtel app for bill payments, shopping, money transfers, and other essential services.

Founded in 2005, Hubtel now has 12 offices and more than 700 employees nationwide, with a mission to accelerate Africa’s growth by enabling individuals and businesses to easily access and pay for everyday essentials through a unified digital platform.
