Brussels bombings linked to Paris attacks

On March 22, bombings at the Brussels airport and a metro station killed dozens, happening just months after the Paris attacks. Investigators say the two incidents are connected, and ISIS claimed responsibility for both.
Authorities have identified three suspects: Belgian brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui, and Najim Laachraoui, who is believed to have made the bombs used in both Paris and Brussels. Ibrahim blew himself up at the airport, while Khalid detonated his bomb in the metro about an hour later. A fourth man seen with them at the airport fled and has not been identified.

Reports suggest Khalid may have had another accomplice in the metro attack, but this has not been confirmed. Khalid had rented an apartment under a fake name – the same place police raided before capturing Paris suspect Salah Abdeslam. Laachraoui was also linked to Abdeslam and had been wanted until officials confirmed he died in the airport blast.
Police raids continue across Belgium, but officials have shared few details. The attacks killed at least 31 people and injured around 300. Some Americans were hurt, and a U.S. brother and sister are still missing, though no American deaths have been confirmed.
