Becca’s Wedding Sparks Drama as Colleagues’ Absence Raises Eyebrows

Reports earlier confirmed that Ghanaian award-winning singer Becca tied the knot with her Nigerian fiancé in a traditional ceremony in Accra over the weekend.

However, rumors surfaced that some of Becca’s industry colleagues were noticeably absent from the highly publicized Ghana-Nigeria union.

An Instagram page, Thosecalledcelebs, claimed there was a reason certain Zylofon Media artistes skipped the event. According to the post, some colleagues allegedly consider Becca “arrogant,” saying she doesn’t interact with them, support their posts, or invite them to her events. For these reasons, the post suggested, they chose not to publicly acknowledge her wedding.

The same Instagram user had previously accused some Zylofon Media members of internal conflicts, pointing out that while they easily celebrate others online, they avoided wishing Becca well on her birthday. The user questioned whether their absence and silence were signs of ongoing tension and “hypocrisy.”

In the lead-up to the ceremony, entertainment pundit Amandzeba Fiifi Smith predicted that the marriage would not last. During an interview on Nhyira FM, he suggested Becca’s union would face challenges, citing past failed Ghana-Nigeria celebrity relationships such as Yvonne Nelson with Iyanya, and Juliet Ibrahim with Iceberg Slim.

Despite the controversies, the wedding itself generated excitement. A viral video captured Becca and her husband showing off energetic shaku shaku dance moves to Wizkid’s music at their reception. The event, held reportedly near Airport in Accra, was attended by several celebrities including Yvonne Nelson and Jackie Appiah.

Although many photos from the ceremony circulated online, most appeared unofficial and of low quality. Becca had kept her partner’s identity hidden for months, even posting photos with him while masking his face with emojis. It was eventually revealed that he is Daniel Oluwatobi Sanni, a Nigerian music executive.

The acclaimed singer married just three days after turning 34, and excitement built after actress Yvonne Nelson and Stonebwoy’s manager Blakk Cedi dropped hints ahead of the ceremony.

Aside from music, Becca also runs other businesses, including her recently opened beauty spa in Accra.
