Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, known as Medikal, has expressed confidence that fellow musician Black Sherif will win a Grammy due to his remarkable achievements in the music industry.
Medikal believes that Black Sherif’s success at such a young age signals even greater things to come for both him and Ghana, projecting that the artist will continue to elevate the country’s profile internationally through his music.
Medikal made this statement after Black Sherif won the Best International Flow award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards. He later shared his thoughts on Twitter, stating, “Blacko and Asakaa go win Grammy!”

Black Sherif clinched the Best International Flow award at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The rapidly rising star, who has seen tremendous growth in his career over the past two years, triumphed over other global talents such as AKA, Central Cee, Gazo, J Hus, K.O, Major RD, Ninho, Sampa The Great, and Tasha & Tracie.
This year’s nomination was Black Sherif’s second in the category, having previously been nominated in 2022, though he lost to Benjamin EPPS.
