The ongoing rivalry between dancehall stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy reached a peak at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, where Stonebwoy drew a gun on stage while accepting the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award.
The incident began when Shatta Wale and his team stormed the stage just as Stonebwoy was about to receive his trophy. Unsure of their intentions, Stonebwoy reacted by pulling out a firearm.
The event had to be paused as confusion took over the Dome, with some audience members leaving the venue out of fear.
