Salma Mumin Opens Up About Leaving Islam for Christianity

Actress Salma Mumin has revealed on the Delay Show that she has chosen to leave Islam and embrace Christianity.

Speaking to Deloris Frimpong Manso, Salma explained that although she was born into a Muslim family, she decided to follow a different spiritual path. “I go to church. Coming from a Muslim home doesn’t mean I must remain Muslim. It also doesn’t stop me from attending church. We are all worshipping the same God,” she said.

When Delay asked if she believes in Jesus Christ, Salma responded happily, “Yes, I’ve accepted Christ as my Lord and personal savior, and I believe salvation comes through Him.”

She added that her transition began as she grew older. “I switched from Islam to Christianity as I matured. I was born Muslim, but I chose the church.”

Salma has been active in Ghana’s movie industry for about five years and won Best Promising International Actress at the Papyrus Magazine Screen Actors Awards (PAMSAA) in Nigeria two years ago. She has featured in several films, including Passion and Soul, The Will, Seduction, No Apology, Purple Rose, Crazy, Five Brides, Happy Death Day, and Family Album.
