Techiman branch of Dwadifo Adanfo reopens for business

The Techiman branch of Dwadifo Adanfo, a microfinance company in the Brong Ahafo Region, has reopened for business after being temporarily shut down. The office was closed on Wednesday following an attack on the company’s Kasoa branch, leaving customers surprised when they found a closure notice on the door while attempting to withdraw their savings earlier this week.

The notice posted on the office wall stated that the branch would remain closed until further notice. However, according to Joy News correspondent Anas Sabit, the office was back in operation by Friday morning. Although no transactions were taking place, staff were available to reassure customers that their money was safe and explain the situation.
An official at the branch stated that full operations would resume by Monday and asked the public to be patient during the transition period.
Meanwhile, the company’s Central Region branch, which had been overwhelmed by customers on Tuesday, had already resumed normal operations. By Wednesday, customers at that branch began receiving partial access to their savings, which had been denied to them the previous week.
In an interview with Joy News’ Ekow Sam, a board member of Dwadifo Adanfo explained that the sudden rush of customers was fueled by rumors about the company’s financial troubles. He clarified that all branches were operating normally, and the closure of the Techiman office was due to maintenance, not financial instability.
The board member attributed the spread of misinformation to former staff and competitors, and assured customers that the company’s management, including shareholders and directors, were fully committed to ensuring the company’s operations return to normal. He reassured customers that their funds remained secure and that Dwadifo Adanfo was focused on restoring confidence and stability.
