#FixtTheCountry: Fix your mentality first – Kuami Eugene to Ghanaians

Ghanaian hitmaker Kuami Eugene has urged music producers, DJs, and entertainers to address their mindset before calling for the country’s issues to be resolved.
In an interview with Foster Aggor on ‘Starr Drive’, the ‘Rock Star’ singer responded to the #Fixthecountry campaign, emphasizing that Ghanaians must first fix their personal attitudes before demanding change from the government.
“My concern lies within the entertainment industry,” he said. “From content creators to DJs and presenters, we should give our own creative work the same attention we give to foreign content.”
He noted that Ghana’s music charts, which should primarily feature local songs, are often dominated by Nigerian music. He believes that fixing this mentality about supporting local talent is crucial before focusing on broader national issues.
“We need to be more supportive of our own products, and once we do that, we can turn this positive energy towards improving our country,” he added.
Kuami Eugene also shared his latest single, ‘Dollar on You’, which released on April 30 and quickly gained over 200,000 views on YouTube.
