Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah Retains Techiman South Seat After Court-Ordered Re-Collation

Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, has successfully retained his parliamentary seat for Techiman South after a court-ordered re-collation of the election results at the Electoral Commission’s (EC) regional office in Accra.
The re-collation was ordered due to disputes over the initial results in Techiman South, which had become a source of controversy during the 2024 elections. Allegations of irregularities led the court to mandate a re-evaluation of the results to ensure fairness and transparency.
The re-collation, carried out under tight security, confirmed Korsah’s victory with 46,663 votes. His closest challenger, Christopher Beyere Baasongti of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), secured 43,429 votes.
