EOCO Executive Director Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah Begins Regional Tour with Visit to Techiman

On Monday, February 21, 2022, Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), paid a one-day official visit to Techiman, the Bono East Regional capital. This marked her first regional tour since being appointed to her position by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on January 5, 2022.

During her visit, COP Addo-Danquah first paid a courtesy call on the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan, at his office. He assured her of his full support in ensuring the effectiveness of EOCO’s operations in the region.

In her remarks, Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah explained that her visit was aimed at familiarizing herself with the work of EOCO in the region. She noted that EOCO had previously operated a desk office in Techiman with one officer, but following the creation of the Bono East Region in 2020, the office had been upgraded to a full regional directorate. She further mentioned that EOCO had secured a temporary office building and would be equipping it with necessary logistics, including more staff and a new vehicle to support the office’s activities.
