Martin Agyei Korsah Vows to Foster Peace, Unity, and Development in Constituency

The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Agyei Korsah, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering peace, unity, and social cohesion in the constituency. Reflecting on the unfortunate post-election violence that resulted in two deaths and several injuries, which tarnished the peaceful nature of the general election, Korsah promised to work diligently to restore harmony and promote the overall growth and development of the area.
Korsah made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the Techiman Traditional Council, where he expressed his gratitude to the chiefs for their support in his election and called for their continued assistance in advancing the constituency. He emphasized that peace, unity, and social cohesion are essential for both community and national progress, urging political factions in the area to set aside differences and work together for the common good.
He acknowledged the pivotal role of traditional leaders in the governance of the region and vowed to maintain regular communication with them, seeking their advice and contributions to elevate Techiman’s development. Korsah highlighted health, education, and agriculture as his top priorities, expressing confidence that with the support of the traditional authorities, he could make significant improvements in these areas and improve the quality of life for residents.
In response, Nana Owusu Gyare, the Akwamuhene and acting President of the Techiman Traditional Council, reassured Korsah, encouraging him to focus on the development of the constituency rather than the challenges posed by the post-election violence. He emphasized that the traditional council is politically neutral and always supports leaders who prioritize the welfare of Techiman. He urged Korsah to work hard to prove his worth and live up to the expectations of the people, promising the council’s support in his efforts.
