Kingdom Exim Group Donates 100-Ton Weighbridge to Boost Local Businesses in Techiman North

The management of Quantity and Quality (Q and Q) Services, a subsidiary of Kingdom Exim Group, has donated a 100-ton weighbridge to assist produce-buying companies in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region.
The weighbridge, installed on a concrete base, is equipped with a digital monitor that displays the weight of vehicles. During the inauguration, Sanjey Rajan, the Techiman branch head of Kingdom Exim Group, explained that the weighbridge would primarily be used to weigh trucks carrying goods such as cashew nuts, soybeans, and shea nuts.
Rajan highlighted that Techiman’s peaceful, agrarian environment inspired the initiative. He stated that the weighbridge would help reduce unnecessary costs for local produce-buying companies, replacing the manual weighing process. This new system ensures more accurate and reliable measurements, helping companies avoid losses by providing precise figures for goods received and dispatched.
He also pointed out that the manual weighing of cashew bags had consumed more than 50% of operations in recent years, making the new weighbridge a much-needed solution.
Additionally, Rajan mentioned that 5% of the total earnings from the weighbridge would be reinvested into the development of the Bono East Region.
Techiman North District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Mensah also commended the region’s business-friendly environment, noting that 16 cashew merchants had set up operations in the district since 2016. He credited the region’s peace and stability, which the chiefs and residents had worked hard to maintain, creating an ideal atmosphere for business growth.
