Ibrahim Mahama buys Techiman Eleven Wonders FC in $40,000 Deal

Ghanaian business tycoon Ibrahim Mahama has acquired ownership of Ghana Premier League club Techiman Eleven Wonders Football Club, now rebranded as Techiman Benfica Sporting Club, in a deal valued at $40,000, according to exclusive reports from Ghanacrusader.com.
Mahama finalized the acquisition with the Techiman-based club on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. As part of the deal, all players will be transferred to the new owner.
Sources indicate that the team will relocate from their current home at Nana Ameyaw Park to Tamale, where they will play their home matches at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The unexpected takeover was completed after months of secret discussions with the club’s chairman, Nana Ameyaw Manu, and Seedorf Soccerlink Academy and Agency, who recently signed a partnership agreement with the club.
The businessman, who is committed to investing further resources into the club, expressed his intention to elevate Techiman Eleven Wonders to the “next level.”
Ibrahim Mahama, the founder of Engineers and Planners, West Africa’s largest indigenous mining company, is also the brother of Ghana’s former president, John Dramani Mahama. He owns multiple businesses in Ghana.
Techiman Eleven Wonders made their debut in the Ghana Premier League during the 2017-18 season after securing promotion by topping their zone in the National Division One League. They clinched their place in the top flight by defeating Unity FC 1-0 at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem.
