Ghanaians were dealt a shocking start to the weekend with the sudden death of Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA, the host of Asempa FM’s Political Morning Show, announced on Saturday morning.
The news of the broadcaster’s passing stunned colleagues, public figures, and many Ghanaians, who expressed their grief across social media.
While the exact cause of his death remains unconfirmed, reports indicate that KABA’s demise was linked to elevated blood sugar levels.
KABA was widely praised for his talent. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), noted on Asempa FM shortly after KABA’s death that the late broadcaster had a special skill in drawing out “hidden truths” from his guests for the audience.
As tributes and condolences continue to pour in, photos of KABA from his time at Techiman Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region, where he graduated in 1999, are also being shared in remembrance.
