Techiman Omanhene Nana Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV Called to the Bar

Nana Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of the Techiman Traditional Area, was called to the bar on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court in Accra.
He received his certificate from Chief Justice Mrs. Georgina Wood and the President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) after successfully completing his studies at the Ghana Law School.
The 54-year-old traditional ruler, a prominent banker and Chief Manager at state-owned GCB Bank Limited, succeeded the late Osabarima Dotobibi Takyia-Ameyaw as paramount chief on May 5, 2004. Known in private life as Mr. Kwaku Osei Mensah, he was formerly the branch manager of Ghana Commercial Bank at Twifo Praso in the Central Region. He is the youngest son of the Queenmother and became the 40th occupant of the Bronkyempem Duaduakwa stool.
Nana Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV attended Sunyani Secondary School and Adisadel College, Cape Coast, before earning a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast in 1988. He served as a teaching assistant at the University’s School of Agriculture from 1988 to 1990 during his national service and later worked as a science tutor at Nkawkaw Secondary School from 1990 to 1993. He joined Ghana Commercial Bank in April 1993.
