Stonebwoy Receives Billboard Plaque After ‘5th Dimension’ Debuts at No. 8 on Reggae Chart

Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, has been presented with a plaque by Billboard after his album 5th Dimension debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard World Reggae Album chart.

This marks the first time a Ghanaian album has reached this position on the chart. Stonebwoy received the plaque on August 7th, 2023, in Crotona Park, The Bronx, New York, following a performance as part of his 5th Dimension world tour.

The album’s ranking was determined by a combination of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming metrics, according to Billboard. This achievement adds to Stonebwoy’s growing list of Billboard successes.

Previously, he had appeared on the Billboard World Album Chart with his 2017 album Epistles Of Mama (EOM), as well as on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart with “Nominate,” his lead single from the 2020 Anloga Junction album.

Additionally, he has received three Billboard plaques for his features on Collie Buddz’s Hybrid Album and Sizzla Kalonji’s I’m Yours, both of which ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Billboard charts.
