Amerado Burner Calls for Unity and Support Among Ghanaian Artists

Ghanaian rapper and current VGMA Best Rap Performer of the Year, Amerado Burner, has called on fellow artists to show more support for each other, just as they seek support from the public.
In an interview with MX24 TV, Amerado highlighted the importance of mutual support among Ghanaian artists. He believes that by supporting one another, artists can not only achieve greater success but also contribute to the overall growth of the local music industry.
“Charity begins at home,” he said. “In football, the first goal comes from a pass. So, while we are seeking support, how well are we supporting each other as artists? It starts with us, from the heart, and from what we do. That way, the people will see the value in supporting us.”
Amerado expressed hope that if artists come together and collaborate towards a shared goal, they can achieve significant success.
When asked if he receives support from other artists, he stated that he doesn’t expect it. He appreciates all his colleagues, regardless of whether they publicly support him or not.
“I don’t live with expectations,” he said. “Those who support me, I love them. Just because someone isn’t vocal about their support doesn’t mean they’re not listening. They might be recommending me behind the scenes.”
