Famed traditional musician King Ayisoba is set to tour the United States in March 2023, promoting Ghanaian food and culture.
In partnership with First Page Promotion, Ayisoba and his Kologo Spirit band will perform at the launch of the Ghana Food Festival on March 6, 2023, at the E Hotel Banquet & Conference in Edison, New Jersey. The event, coinciding with Ghana’s Independence Day, will celebrate Ghanaian food, arts, and traditions, bringing together Ghanaians and Americans.
The festival aims to boost the consumption and export of Ghanaian food products, offering a platform for Ghanaians to showcase their local dishes to the world. Before the event, Ayisoba will tour New Jersey to promote the festival and increase participation. The festival will also feature Kente and Batakari stands, showcasing locally made fabric designs.
King Ayisoba, known for his traditional music and cultural advocacy, previously called for May 12 to be designated as Kente and Batakari Day in Ghana. The Ghana Food Festival launch is expected to attract prominent Ghanaians residing in the US.
