Kwame A Plus Reacts to Swift Recovery of Meek Mill’s Stolen Phone by Ghana Police

After it was reported that Meek Mill’s stolen phone had been recovered, popular social commentator Kwame A Plus took to social media to express his thoughts on the quick response from the police.
Meek Mill had earlier announced on Instagram that his phone had been stolen just before his performance at the 2022 Afro Nation festival in Accra, Ghana. He posted, “They pickpocketed me for my phone. Bring that jawn back if you got it!”
Within 24 hours, the police managed to retrieve Meek Mill’s phone and reported having a suspect in custody, sharing a press release and a photo of the alleged thief that quickly went viral.
A Plus, however, was surprised by the speed of the police’s action. He remarked sarcastically, questioning why the police could locate a stolen phone so quickly, while other major cases in the country remain unsolved. He pointed out that while excavators go missing and other issues remain unresolved, the police were able to recover a foreigner’s phone in under a day, suggesting a possible inconsistency in how cases are handled.
In a later tweet, Meek Mill confirmed he had received his phone back and downplayed the situation, stating that he wasn’t sure how the phone went missing. He added that he didn’t need anyone to be locked up over it, just that he had his phone back.
